Following is the summary of a study on hallucination and delusion on 300 cases each of schizophrenics which were seen at the beginning and at the end of the world war II.
1) Although the rate of occurence of hallucination and delusion is almost the same in the war time as in peace the instances of schizoplirenics is higher during war time than prior to the enlistment.
2) While the contents of Hallucination and delusion which showed the influence of milieu were shown in 50% of all cases, there is a distinct differnce in the number of schizophrenic developed during the war as compared to the period of pre-enlistment: the former being 83%.
