Crystal data for Lu₂Si₂O₇

Lutetium pyrosilicate single crystals Lu₂Si₂O₇ were grown by a floating-zone technique associated with an arc image furnace. The compound is monoclinic, space group C2/m, Z = 2, a = 6.7665 (14), b = 8.8407 (18), c = 4.7195 (27) Å and β = 101.95 (3)°. Indexed X-ray powder data at 294 K are given.
