Abstract
In the factorization model →ω is forbidden due to the absence of a spectator term, conserved vector current, and the absence of second-class axial-vector currents. We show that B(→ω) up to 3% can nevertheless be generated by final-state interactions. Hence a large (≊3%) branching ratio for →ω may not necessarily be a signal for the annihilation mechanism in this decay mode.
