p¯p→Ξ¯Ξ reaction in the meson exchange picture

Abstract

The strangeness production process p¯p→Ξ¯Ξ is investigated in a meson exchange model and a full coupled channel treatment. Results for cross sections, polarizations, and singlet fractions are presented and compared with those obtained from quark-gluon models. Characteristic differences occur in the (p¯p→Ξ¯Ξ)/(p¯p→Ξ¯0Ξ0) cross section ratios.
