Abstract

This paper presents a calculation of the temperature dependence of resistivity due to the interaction between the conduction electrons and fractons existing in the normal state of high-Tc superconductors. The results show that the resistivity from fracton scattering is nearly linear in temperature over a wide temperature range and ρ(T) varies as T3d¯/D1 for fracton scattering at low temperature. The effect of fractons on strongly coupled superconductors deserves to be further investigated.
