Abstract

We consider theoretically the elementary excitations of quasi-one-dimensional electron systems in the presence of an external magnetic field. We develop a perturbation scheme to calculate the intra- and intersubband magnetoplasmon frequencies under the random-phase approximation. We compare our results with recent experiments, and good agreement between our theory and experimental results is found.
