Abstract
The long-time decay of the density of diffusive particles in a d-dimensional medium with static traps which form a statistically homogeneous connected set is analyzed by methods analogous to those recently applied to the case of randomly distributed traps. Pertinent statistical properties of connected-trap configurations are inferred from analysis of two special cases. The density is shown to decay as exp(-) for large t. The analysis is motivated by an application to transport in porous media.
