Abstract
Excitation energies and oscillator strengths from the ground state to the first and excited states of Cd-like ions are calculated by using the multiconfiguration relativistic random-phase approximation including excitation channels from core electrons. The discrepancies among theories and experiments are much reduced but, in general, remain.
