First-passage times for non-Markovian processes: Shot noise

Abstract

The stochastic-trajectory-analysis technique is applied to the calculation of the meanfirst-passage-time statistics for processes driven by external shot noise. Explicit analytical expressions are obtained for free and bound processes.
