We have measured the CP violation parameter η+-γ in a neutral kaon experiment, E773, at Fermilab. This parameter characterizes CP violation in the decay KL→π+π-γ. Kaon decays into π+π- collected simultaneously were used for normalization. Our result is |η+-γ| = [2.359±0.062(stat)±0.040(syst)]×10-3 with a phase φ+-γ = [43.8±3.5(stat)±1.9(syst)]°. The prediction that η+-γ should be very close to η+- is supported by our result.
