Abstract

The electroinduced fission of W182,184,186 has been investigated in the energy range from 35 to 55 MeV. The fission barriers, estimated by a statistical-model analysis of the measured cross sections, are compared with theoretical predictions and are only consistent with the assumption of a constant pairing strength.
