Spin of the 3120 - keV Level in Fe56

Abstract

The neutron inelastic scattering excitation function of the 3120-keV level in Fe56 has been determined from γ-ray production cross-section measurements. The best agreement between experiment and theory was obtained with a 0+ spin and parity assignment for this level.
