Abstract

High-spin states have been studied in 122Cs using the 94Mo(31P,2pn) reaction. Two rotational bands have been observed to spins of 28 and 21ħ. The most intensely populated band has been reassigned to have the ν(h11/2)π(h11/2) configuration. A low-spin signature inversion is observed in this band between 19 and 20ħ, consistent with the neighboring odd-odd cesium isotopes. Spectroscopic properties are discussed, including signature inversion of bands in A120 nuclei.
