Abstract

A special arrangement of electron spectrometers has been used to search for a weak E5γ transition in ${}^{90}{Zr}$ . The experiment establishes the upper limit: B(E5, $5_{1}^{-}$ → $0_{2}^{+}$ )/B(E 5, $5_{1}^{-}$ → $0_{1}^{+}$ )≤1.8 (90% confidence limit).
