Abstract

Reduced matrix elements for excitation of the first three 4+ states in Os192 have been measured using inelastic scattering of 135 MeV polarized protons. These data, as well as the known quadrupole properties of Os192, are best described if the third 4+ state is interpreted as a g-boson intruder state.
