Abstract

Cross sections for the production of long-lived radioactive isotopes by proton induced reactions on iron, cobalt, and tungsten are reported for proton energies less than or equal to 63 MeV. Data are compared with previous experiments and theoretical predictions. Estimates of neutron flux in the region near the end of the proton range are made.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 63 MeV protons on natural Fe, Co, and W. Measured σ(E) for V48, Cr51, Mn52,54, Co56,57,58, Re183,184.
