Parity violation in neutron scattering at threshold

Abstract

We discuss the threshold enhancement of parity violation in neutron scattering in two simple models. We check that the Born approximation is reliable by comparing with an exact amplitude and also find that the original estimate of Forte for the enhancement in Sn124 is probably realistic.
