Abstract

In the present work, I discuss the effect of the Coulomb interaction on the dynamics of two-particle systems bound in various traps. The strategy of including the Coulomb interaction into the quantization condition of a trapped system is discussed in a general and nonperturbative manner. In most cases, Coulomb corrections to the quantization condition largely rely on a numerical approach or on perturbation expansion. Only for some special cases, such as the spherical hard wall trap, a closed form of the quantization condition with all orders of Coulomb corrections can be obtained.
