Abstract

We have measured the temperature dependence of the spectral features of the direct gaps of ZnSe and Zn0.56Cd0.44Se in the temperature range 25 K<T<400 K using contactless electroreflectance. The parameters that describe the temperature variation of the energy (including thermal expansion effects) and broadening function of the band gaps have been evaluated. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
