Abstract

We report measurements of nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei (NMR-ON) on Rh99m (Iπ=9/2+,T1/2=4.7 h), and Rh101m (Iπ=9/2+,T1/2=4.3 d) in Fe and Ni. The new measurements do not support the existence of a Knight shift of ∼-5% for RhFe as postulated in the literature. The shift of the NMR-ON resonances with an external magnetic field is discussed critically, especially those effects which may simulate a Knight shift.
