Isomeric State of Y88 in the Decay of Zr88

Abstract

The 85-day activity Zr88 decays by electron capture to Y88m which de-excites by emission of 395-kev gamma radiation with a half-life of 0.37±0.03 millisecond. From the half-life and the conversion coefficient the transition is characterized as E3.
