Abstract
Angular distributions of protons corresponding to the ground-state and first excited-state transitions in the reaction have been measured for five bombarding energies in the region of 6.0 to 6.55 Mev. Angular correlations of the de-excitation gamma ray from the first excited state of with the alpha-particle and proton directions have been measured for six different combinations of bombarding energy and proton detection direction. Some, but not all, of the results show striking agreements with predictions based on simple direct-interaction mechanisms.
