The lifetime of 2.21 ns previously attributed to the 5147 keV level in ${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$ is assigned to the 4504 keV level and an upper limit of 1 ns is established for the lifetime of the 5147 keV level.
