Abstract
The article discusses the method of high-speed shock consolidation of powder materials. In this method, high-speed heating of the powder is carried out by a high-voltage current pulse, and the mechanical force on the powder billet is created by a falling pile driver. A description of the experimental setup that implements this method is given. Energy and kinematics parameters of the shock consolidation process of powder materials are discussed.
