Greetings,

We'd like to invite our readership to come to the International Association of Breath Research (IABR) 2024 Summit in Indianapolis Indiana (www.breathsummit.com). This meeting is held every year or two in different cities all over the world to bring together researchers, doctors, and equipment manufacturers devoted to the measurement of exhaled human breath and its linkage to health effects. This year it is planned for June in the United States, in recent years it has been in Italy, UK, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Austria.

Some of you may already be aware of the upcoming meeting; the organizing committee has already had its first official meeting and we are preparing now to begin spreading the news to everyone in the field. This editorial in the Journal of Breath Research is one of the first announcements!

For those less familiar, the IABR meeting is relatively small, typically with 150–200 attendees. Although a highly focused conference with many of the senior researchers in the field, we always try to broaden our base by inviting new researchers and students; and it is a fun crowd.

With this editorial, we want to encourage you to think about sending an abstract for a conference talk, a poster proposal, or just to come to the meeting. The updated announcements and deadlines will appear on the conference website mentioned above, where you may also sign up for the mailing list of announcements. You may also visit various sites for previous conferences, the most recent of which was held in Pisa, Italy in 2022 (https://iabr.dcci.unipi.it).

So, please consider sharing your work, or learning about breath research by attending. Note, we always try to support students with travel assistance and conference fees if possible.
