Abstract
An iterative method for calculating the temperature distribution along the internal surface of a cavity radiator with the radiant existence distribution and the intrinsic emissivity as known quantities is presented. Numerical calculation is carried out for a lidless cavity having a diffuse wall with relatively high intrinsic emissivities. More rapid convergence of the iterative calculation is numerically demonstrated for a smaller temperature gradient along the cavity axis. The conditions for convergence are considered.
