Abstract

A universal programming unit has been developed which allows easy, flexible and accurate programming of single, as well as of cyclic, events. The duration of one event can be adjusted by multiples of 0.3 sec to 6 hours, covering an extremely wide range. At any point in the programme the timer can be held up for a desired time by any suitable external circuit. Other external circuits may command halting after a certain number of cycles or skipping any part of a cycle. Circuitry is simple, straightforward and inexpensive.
