Abstract

The relative intraband transition rates for levels in the gamma vibrational bands of ¹⁶²Dy and ¹⁶⁸Er have been measured with a 5.8 m radius curved crystal spectrometer. The measurements allow us to deduce the M1-E2 mixing ratios in the Delta I=-1 intraband transitions. The results are consistent with the assumption that mod (g_K-g_R)/Q₀(2) mod is constant within the band.
