Abstract

Critical behaviour of acoustic wave attenuation in percolation lattices near a percolation threshold is discussed on the basis of a real-space renormalisation group method. The scaling form of the attenuation coefficient and associated critical exponents are obtained. The existence of anomalous enhancement of the attenuation is elucidated.
