The peculiar A star gamma Equulei: a line identification study of lambda lambda 3086 - 3807.
Abstract
Results are presented for a line-identification study based on two spectrograms obtained with a dispersion of 2 A/mm for the sharp-lined cool Ap star Gamma Equ in the optical UV region from 3086 to 3807 A. It is found that the following atomic species are definitely present: H I, Mg I, Mg II, Ca I, Ca II, Sc II, Ti I, Ti II, V I, V II, Cr I, Cr II, Mn I, Mn II, Fe I, Fe II, Co I, Co II, Ni I, Ni II, Sr II, Y II, Zr II, Nb II, Mo II, Rh I, Pd I, La II, Ce II, Ce III, Pr II, Pr III, Nd II, Nd III, Sm II, Sm III, Eu II, Gd II, Tb II, Dy II, Ho II, Er II, Tm II, and Yb II. The results also indicate the probable or possible presence of lines due to Be II, Al I, Si II, Cu I, Ge I, Sr I, Y I, Ru I, Ag I, Sn I, Gd III, Ho III, and Lu III.
