Abstract

A case of ascending colon leiomyosarcoma, treated by surgical resection and end-to-end anastomosis, in a boy suffering from Tuberous Sclerosis is reported. The rarity of this association is stressed. It is likely that the tumour arose (as a degenerative change) from some of the leiomyomatous hamartomata found in the same portion of the colon.
