Zusammenfassung

Von 1979 - 1984 wurden an 53 Patienten 68 einstielige Swanson-Silastikprothesen am Großzehengrundgelenk implantiert. Davon konnten 1986 51 Patienten (96 %) mit 66 Implantaten nachkontrolliert werden, mit einer Nachkontrollzeit von 1 - 7 Jahren. In deutlichem Gegensatz zu den recht günstigen subjektiven und auch objektiven klinischen Ergebnissen steht die große Anzahl ungünstiger radiologischer Befunde. Die statistische Analyse der Ergebnisse zeigt eine signifikante Zunahme von Implantaten mit Verschleißvorgängen mit steigender Nachkontrollzeit (p = 0.04), hingegen keinen signifikanten Unterschied bezüglich subjektiven und objektiven klinischen Ergebnissen mit zunehmendem Zeitintervall nach der Implantation.

Abstract

53 patients underwent 68 Swanson's Silastic prosthesis implantations in great toes from 1979 - 1984. 51 patients (96%) with 66 implantats were followed up from 1 to 7 years. The results of selfjudgement and clinical examination at control were favourable, in contrast to the large number of unfavourable radiologic findings at control. Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between the number of weared prostheses with narrowing or fragmentation and increasing follow-up time (p = 0.04), but no significant association between the results of selfjudgement and clinical examination and follow-up time.
