Abstract

Two minor alkaloids, crassicauline B and crassicaulidine, were isolated from the roots of Aconitum crassicaule (1, 2). The structure of crassicauline B, C₂₇H₃₁O₄N, is now deduced as (1), while the previously assigned structure of crassicaulidine has been further confirmed as (7) on the basis of chemical data and ¹³C-NMR spectrum.
