Zusammenfassung

Der M. palmaris profundus ist ein selten auftretender Muskel, der im Zusammenhang mit Kompressionen des Nervus medianus erwähnt wird. Die Madelung-Deformität beruht einerseits auf einer osteochondralen Entwicklungsstörung der distalen Wachstumsfuge der Speiche und andererseits oftmals auf einem Vickers-Band, das am proximalen Mondbein entspringt, nach proximal über die Wachstumsfuge zieht und sich metaphysär am Radius verankert. Eine 15-jährige Rechtshänderin wies eine symptomatische linksseitige Madelung-Deformität mit Vickers-Band und zugleich einen M. palmaris profundus bei vorhandene M. palmaris longus auf.

Abstract

The palmaris profundus muscle is a rare entity which has been mentioned in association with nerve compressions. Madelung deformity is based both on an osteochondral lesion of the distal radial physis and often on the Vickers’ ligament which originates around the lunate and inserts proximally in the radial physis. A 15-year-old right-handed female adolescent suffered from symptomatic left-sided Madelung deformity with Vickers’ ligament and additional palmaris profundus muscle.
