Zusammenfassung

Dem Tier kommt heute im Infektgeschehen der Dermatomykosen eine zentrale Bedeutung als Infektionsquelle für den Menschen zu. Fraglos stehen dabei einzelne Pilzarten, wie das Trichophyton mentagrophytes und das Trichophyton verrucosum, ihrer Bedeutung nach im Vordergrund. Aber auch andere Dermatophyten, die entweder Bodenbewohner sind oder sich mehr dem Menschen angepaßt haben, können bei Tieren gefunden werden und in Einzelfällen von diesen auf den Menschen übertragen werden. Wenn auch nicht alle humanpathogenen Dermatophyten bei Tieren vorkommen, so gilt umgekehrt ohne Einschränkung, daß alle bei Tieren gefundenen Hautpilze Erkrankungen beim Menschen hervorrufen können.

Summary

Animals play a central role as sources of infection in human dermatomycoses. Among these, certain fungi, such as Trichophyton mentagrophytes and T. verrucosum, are most important. But other dermatophytes, which live in the soil or are more or less adapted to man, may be found in animals and in isolated cases may be transmitted from them to man. Although not all dermatophytes which are human pathogens can be found in animals, the obverse is true without exception that all skin-fungus infections in animals also can be produced in man.

La significación de las dermatomicosis como zooantroponosis

El animal reviste actualmente una importancia capital como fuente de infección para el hombre en el proceso fenomenológico de las dermatomicosis. Es indudable que algunos tipos de hongos —como el trichophyton mentagrophytes y el trichophyton verrucosum— ocupan el primer plano dada su importancia. Pero también otros dermatofitos ya sean habitantes de los suelos o se hayan habituado más al hombre, pueden ser encontrados en los animales y transmitidos por éstos en ciertos casos al hombre. Si bien no todos los dermatofitos patógenos para el hombre se encuentran en los animales, al revés sí puede afirmarse sin limitación alguna, que todos los dermatofitos encontrados en los animales pueden producir afecciones en el hombre.
