A watermarking scheme for digital images that is based on the charecteristics of the human visual system is presented. The watermarking scheme inserts a perceptually invisible watermark in the discrete cosine transform domain. It is shown that the proposed scheme provides better results than two other popular schemes in terms of both transparency and robustness.
