The Mössbauer effect in tin(II) compounds. Part IV. The spectra of some tin(II) carboxylates and tricarboxylatostannates(II)

Abstract

The Mössbauer parameters of some tin(II) carboxylates are reported and discussed in terms of the bonding in compounds containing tin–oxygen bonds. There is no consistent agreement between the Mössbauer chemical shift data for these carboxylates and the ionisation constants of the parent acids. The Mössbauer parameters of a number of tricarboxylatostannates(II) are also reported and compared with those for other tin(II) complexes.
