One pot synthesis of self-assembled V2O5 nanobelt membraneviacapsule-like hydrated precursor as improved cathode for Li-ion battery

Abstract

A novel self-assembled V2O5 nanobelt membrane was successfully fabricated for the first time. The synthesis strategy is based on the earlier one-pot formation of V2O5·xH2O capsule-like nanobelt membranevia the mediated hydrogen bonding action. The as-made V2O5 nanobelt membrane can be directly integrated into Li-ion batteries serving as a cathode, which exhibit the enhanced electrochemical performance when cycled, including good rate capability, high specific capacity, great cyclability, stability and reliability.
