Polycatenated 3-connected hydrogen-bonding bilayer stabilized by argentophilic interactions

Abstract

A luminescent compound Ag4(cy)4(bpy) (1, cy = isocyanurato, bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine) was solvothermal synthesized; it features an unusual polycatenated 3-connected bilayer motif which is further stabilized by argentophilic interactions.
