Chain length dependence of the mean field temperature in poly(oxyethylene)–poly(oxybutylene) diblock copolymers

Abstract

The mean field behaviour of a series of short poly(oxyethylene)–poly(oxybutylene) diblock copolymers with 50/50 volume fraction is discussed. The mean field temperature (TMF) is determined from small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). It is found to increase linearly with rV, the volume normalised degree of polymerisation.
