A very short, very asymmetrical O–H‥F hydrogen bond in KF·(CH2CO2H)2; X-ray crystal structure

Abstract

A new 1 : 1 adduct of KF and succinic acid has been prepared and its crystal structure, determined by the heavy atom method, reveals an unexpectedly short hydrogen bond with O … F = 2·440(4)Å.
