31P,89Y Shift correlation. Application to the speciation of yttrium complexes with triphenylphosphine oxide

Abstract

Correlation experiments between 89Y and 31P nuclei through scalar coupling using 31P detection are described for the first time. The utility of the new method of characterizing 89Y is demonstrated by identifying the species formed in the reaction of yttrium nitrate with triphenylphosphine oxide in THF solution.
