Selection of Media for Isolation of Streptomycetes

Abstract

In the past, many investigations involving the selective isolation of Streptomycetes from soil have been carried out. However, there seems little agreement on which media are most suitable for this purpose. A brief survey of the literature revealed a total of 21 recommended media.
