What is a Clubhouse? Report on the ICCD 1996 Survey of USA Clubhouses

Abstract

This article summarizes the findings from theICCD 1996 Clubhouse Survey for the 173 respondentclubhouses located in the United States. It is ourintent in the present article to identify commonalties in clubhouse organizational structure andpractice across diverse geographic areas of the USA andwithin diverse health care systems, and, thereby, toidentify typical or average' clubhouse performance in a variety of organizational and practicedomains.
