Abstract
The quantum-mechanical analysis of the intensity distribution in the resonance Raman scattering (RRS) spectrum of the purine molecule is presented. Satisfactory agreement between the calculated results and the available experimental data is obtained, and a conclusion is made that both tautomeric forms (P–N7H and P–N9H) coexist in polar solvents.
