Abstract:

A conformationally restricted analogue (5) of N-acetyl-N-hydroxyornithine and -lysine was synthesized. The synthesis features an efficient acylnitroso hetero-Diels-Alder cycloadduct (1) ring opening with palladium(0) and methylnitroacetate.
