Stability loss delay in a Ziegler system

Abstract

Stability loss delay in a Ziegler system is considered, on the assumption that the follower force is slowly increasing. An “input-output” function is constructed, enabling the time at which stability loss occurs to be predicted, given the initial magnitude of the force.
