2022, Journal of Organometallic ChemistryCitation Excerpt :On the other hand, the oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds is a fundamental organic reaction for both academia and industry [35–49]. Oppenauer-type oxidation catalyzed by Ru [40–47] or Ir [48–49], via transfer hydrogenation/dehydrogenation, is well documented. The oxidation can proceed under mild, less toxic and/or environment-benign conditions with the unique selectivity to alcohol substrates.
