2022, Phytomedicine PlusCitation Excerpt :It could inhibit the activity of tuberculosis producing bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The synthesis of this xanthone derivative was first attempted by Valer Jeso and K. C. Nicolaouin 2009 (Jeso and Nicolaou 2009). The MOM protected phenol derivative (33) when reacted with methyl (2-methylbut-3-yn-2-yl) carbonate (34) in the presence of DBU and catalytic amounts of CuCl2 gave the propargylated product (35) which on Claisen rearrangement, regioselective lithiation and quenching with prenyl bromide furnished prenylated chromene (37).
Functionalized nanoclinoptilote as a novel and green catalyst for the synthesis of Mannich bases derived from 4-hydroxy coumarin
2022, Journal of Molecular StructureCitation Excerpt :Clinoptilolite, one of the most useful naturally occurring zeolites, is employed as a molecular sieve, feed, and food additive, as well as gas and odor absorbent [44]. This zeolite has advantages, including large surface area, good thermal and chemical stability, non-toxicity, and numerous active sites that make it an excellent candidate to catalyze organic reactions [45–47]. Generally, a unique of clinoptilolite is its convenient surface modification using various chemical reagents such as surfactants, organic compounds, and inorganic substances [48–53].
Synthesis, antioxidant, antibacterial, solvatochromism and molecular docking studies of indolyl-4H-chromene-phenylprop-2-en-1-one derivatives
2018, Journal of Molecular LiquidsCitation Excerpt :Since the past decade, CC bond forming reactions between R1OH and R2H has been attracting significant global attention of researchers in organic synthesis [3]. Interestingly, 4H-chromene derivatives were found to acquire various biological properties such as antimicrobial [4–7] antiproliferation [8], antitumor [9], antiallergenic [10] and antioxidant [11,12] and found several interesting biomedical applications. On the other hand, the development of synthetic methods towards the generation of indole derivatives has attracted considerable attention owing to their promising biological activities [13–15].
