2015, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - American VolumeCitation Excerpt :Numerous patient-reported outcome questionnaires have been developed and validated for tracking outcomes in patients with musculoskeletal problems in controlled trials1-33. Their usefulness in large samples was improved in the brief versions of the questionnaires33-38. These tools are less useful in an observational environment, in which patients have multiple conditions at baseline or develop new conditions during the follow-up period.
